True MA Central

True Lacrosse is proud to announce the appointment of Katie Coleman Bergmann as the new Director of True MA Central, ushering in an exciting new chapter for one of the region’s premier girls lacrosse programs.

 

A highly respected coach, educator, and program leader, Katie Coleman Bergmann brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of building successful lacrosse programs at the youth, high school, club, and collegiate levels. She previously served as True Illinois Director from 2020-2022 before relocating to Colorado, where she launched and led the True Colorado girls program from 2022-2024. She also serves as a coach within the True National Team program and currently holds the position of Defensive Coordinator at Tufts University. 

 

During her time at Tufts, the program advanced to the NCAA National Championship game in 2025 and reached the NCAA Final Four in 2026. Her coaching résumé also includes successful tenures at Hinsdale Central High School in Illinois and Mead High School in Colorado, where she helped guide the program to a state championship and earned Coach of the Year honors. She played collegiately at Regis University.

In recommending Katie for the position, Suzanne Rich, Founder of the True Girls Program, highlighted her history of success and loyalty to the organization, noting that she has previously served as a director for True and understands what it takes to build and sustain a thriving market.
