John Mott is originally from Long Island, New York, where he was a member of a Class A State Championship team and the scoring leader on Long Island in 1992. He continued his playing career at Nassau CC, earning First Team All-American honors twice.
John began coaching in 2001 and now brings more than 25 years of experience developing young athletes. In 2009, he founded the LKN Outlaws Lacrosse program, dedicated to teaching and growing the game in the Lake Norman community. The program focuses on developing youth players ages 5–15 while emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and a passion for lacrosse.
