Jason Alford is the Head Coach at Creekside High School, where he has led the Knights since 2014 and guided the program to over 140 victories and District Championships in 2021 and 2022. He was named USA Lacrosse North Florida Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2021.
Alford discovered lacrosse after moving to Maryland in middle school, where he began playing in the Fallston Recreation Program in Harford County and quickly developed a passion for the game. At Fallston High School he was a three-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and lacrosse, and was part of the 1992 state semifinalist lacrosse team.
He went on to play collegiately at North Carolina State University, where he was a four-year starting defenseman and NCLL All-Star.
Prior to coaching in Florida, Alford spent more than a decade coaching in Maryland, including serving as head coach at Havre de Grace High School, where his team reached the 2006 state semifinals. His coaching experience also includes time at Charlotte Latin School, Essex Community College, Florida Institute of Technology, and Flagler College.
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Alford has helped develop numerous players who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level across NCAA Division I, II, III, and competitive club programs.
In addition to leading Creekside, Alford serves as Director of True North Florida and Director of Coach & Player Development for Creeks Youth Lacrosse, where he focuses on developing players throughout North Florida. His coaching philosophy emphasizes not only developing strong lacrosse players, but also helping young athletes grow in character, leadership, discipline, and accountability as young men on and off the field.
