AJ Froehlich began his coaching career in 2013 as the Defensive Coordinator at Indian Hill High School, where he helped build a disciplined, hard-nosed defensive identity through the 2019 season. In 2019, he was named Head Coach at Cincinnati Country Day School, leading the program through 2023 and emphasizing culture, accountability, and player development. In 2024, AJ returned to Indian Hill High School as Head Coach, continuing to build on the program’s tradition while shaping the next generation of players.
At the club level, AJ has coached since 2013. He began with the Cincy Royals from 2013–2017 before the program transitioned to True Lacrosse. Since 2018, he has served as a Director with True, helping guide player development and program growth at the regional and national levels.
In addition to coaching, AJ is a 5th grade teacher at Indian Hill Elementary School. His experience in the classroom directly influences his coaching philosophy, as he prioritizes teaching, character development, and building young men who excel both on the field and in their communities.
