True Lacrosse is expanding its operations into Connecticut with the launch of its inaugural program, the True Central Whalers
Based in Middletown, the True Central Whalers will offer teams for boys in high school graduation years 2029-2036. True’s newest program and its players will have the support of True’s vast infrastructure and network, including a full-time administrative staff, full-time director, and access to True’s advanced programming – True National and All-Region.
Â
At the helm of the new True Central Whalers will be Program Director Jerimee Moses. With over 12 years of coaching experience, Moses brings a proven ability to develop high-level athletes and build strong, team-first cultures. Currently serving as defensive coordinator at Choate Rosemary Hall where he has helped build one of the premier defensive units while competing against top prep programs in the country, Moses has played a key role in the program’s run to the Founders League Championship game in 2025, which is widely regarded as one of the most competitive leagues in high school lacrosse.
Â
Moses previously served as head coach at Hall High School and held assistant roles at Xavier and Avon, earning a reputation for developing skilled, disciplined, and high IQ players.
Â
A native of Newington, Moses is committed to building a program that represents Central Connecticut. After graduating from Newington High School, he continued his academic and athletic career at Hebron Academy and later competed at the NCAA Division III level at Eastern Connecticut State University.
Â
Under Moses’ leadership, the True Central Whalers will deliver a complete player experience, combining elite training and competition with a strong emphasis on character, accountability, and community. The program is designed to develop players and guide them through their competition and recruiting process, opening the right collegiate opportunities while gaining meaningful experiences for families along the way.
Â
All players interested in learning more and joining the new True Central Whalers program are invited to attend tryouts on July 22nd and 27th at Wesleyan University’s Smith Field. Players are also invited to join us for a Free Clinic on June 19th. This clinic will provide the opportunity to experience firsthand how True Lacrosse trains players to reach their potential. See below for details and to register.
