True Recruiting
We’ve sent more players to collegiate programs than any other club in the nation…
.
True’s modern approach to recruiting stems from our ability to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of collegiate admissions. From your first game to your college commitment, our recruiting process is designed to keep one thing in mind: the player.
Our vast network of full-time program directors, recruiting advisors, and admissions counseling partners gives us the continued ability to develop relationships with every NCAA program in the country. True’s athletes benefit from consistent recruiting exposure through elite events, showcases, and media content.
We advocate for our players.
Our personalized recruiting approach is built on advocacy for our players and their families. Our job is to understand the goals of our student athletes and their families, then help them identify a school and program that will provide them with a well-rounded collegiate experience, and we put academics at the top of that list.

Recruiting Quick Tips
The Do's
- Be open to an honest conversation about finding the right fit; don’t forget, college is a match to be made and not a prize to be won.
- After meeting with your family and college placement coordinator, begin your preliminary research on the programs that meet the criteria you’re looking for in a college or university.
- Provide your college placement coordinator with a copy of your unofficial transcript, in addition to adding it to your IMLCA account and highlight-film.
- Reach out to college coaches via your IMLCA/IWLCA accounts and/or emailing coaches through your personal email.
- Have ongoing conversations with the True coaching staff to provide updates regarding your recruiting process.
- Enjoy the process. You only get to do this once!
The Don'ts
- Attempt to compare yourself to others; college lacrosse is not one-size-fits-all.
- Spam schools with weekly emails.
- Post inappropriate material on social media.
- Burn yourself out by overscheduling tournaments, clinics, prospect days, college visits etc. The process can be overwhelming, so be sure to pace yourself. The True Recruiting staff is an excellent resource to help determine which events you should attend.
