True Lacrosse is proud to welcome the Philadelphia Freedom Lacrosse Club under its umbrella, signifying a partnership in which True Lacrosse will augment Philadelphia Freedom’s offerings and services, providing administrative support, expanded programming, and additional training options for players.
 
Philadelphia Freedom Powered by True Lacrosse will continue to host programming for boys and girls. These players will immediately be eligible to try out for True’s top programs, including the True National Program and our All-Region Teams, both of which offer additional competitive opportunities and greater exposure for elite athletes.
 
Co-Founders and Owners of Philadelphia Freedom Bob Miller and Kevin Goforth will remain in leadership roles as senior advisors to ensure players and families have a seamless transition. Additionally, they will be on the field to continue to support the program and provide the top-tier training.
 
True Lacrosse is pleased to announce the hiring of a Division 1 coach to lead Philadelphia Freedom Powered by True Lacrosse. This new director will be announced at the conclusion of the NCAA lacrosse season, at which time he will enter his full-time role.
 
Peter Burns, True Lacrosse vice-president, is enthusiastic about how True Lacrosse can build on Philadelphia Freedom’s success. “The Philadelphia area is teeming with talent,” Burns said. “At True Lacrosse, we are committed to the growth of the game. In this case, Philadelphia Freedom has done an outstanding job of training players to compete at a high level. We are eager to build on what they have started and provide additional resources to offer more players even greater opportunities to compete, gain exposure, and get recruited, should they wish to pursue a collegiate playing career. We have brought in an exceptional director to guide this program, and we couldn’t be more excited about how Philadelphia Freedom will continue to grow and reach more players in the Philadelphia area.”

Sixes is a faster, 6-on-6 format of club lacrosse built for more touches and more participation — and it's the official Olympic lacrosse discipline for LA28.

No. United Sixes — including Training Camp and PLL Play Sixes Leagues — is open to any athlete, any club, any school.

Training Camp is included for True Lacrosse families as part of this season's registration; for everyone else, a registration fee applies. PLL Play Sixes Leagues are a separate registration with their own fee, for all athletes regardless of True Lacrosse status.

United Sixes is open to grad years 2027–2037, from beginner through advanced skill level, boys and girls, in select markets nationwide this fall.

United Sixes is partnering with USA Lacrosse and PLL Play — including operating PLL Play Sixes Leagues nationwide — to build the future of the Olympic format together.
