JoJo Janavey serves as Junior Director, Director of Player Development, and Head of Skills Training Programming, bringing a strong blend of coaching experience and high-level playing background to the program. He currently leads multiple teams, including Head Coach roles for True Westchester 2028 Black and 2034 Black, and has also coached several True Empire All-Region teams. With eight years of club coaching experience, including three with True Westchester, JoJo has built a reputation for developing players’ technical skills and offensive IQ. He is in his first year as Offensive Coordinator for Lakeland/Panas Varsity Lacrosse and is entering his third year as an assistant coach for Pace University Men’s Lacrosse, where he has helped guide the team to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program’s first NCAA tournament win in 2024.
As a player, Janavey was a three-year varsity starter at Lakeland/Panas, finishing among the top five in program history with 230 career points, totaling 162 goals and 68 assists. He earned three All-League selections and two All-Section honors while helping lead his team to two Section 1 Class A Championships and two Class A Regional titles. At the collegiate level, he competed at Mercy University, Springfield College, and Pace University. During his time at Mercy, he recorded 31 goals and 7 assists in 2019 and helped the program secure its first conference championship and NCAA tournament appearance.
