Positional academy 2025
Founders' Camp Positional Academy is an event that focuses on position-specific training and knowledge transfer. Designed and developed by True’s founders, this event will showcase a unique opportunity to develop your positional skills with elite-level instruction and immediate, personal feedback. Additionally, this will be an opportunity to work directly with the highest-level lacrosse minds within True’s network, including True National program leadership, and coaches whose backgrounds span multiple compete levels including professional, collegiate, and club.
True Lacrosse is home to some of the sport’s most seasoned coaches and trainers, and we’re also excited to be bringing on instructors from outside of our organization to lend additional expertise to our event offering.
Camp Structure
Each Founders' Camp Positional Academy will follow the same general structure.
CHECK-IN
- Camp roll call and field assignments as players take instruction from camp directors on the day’s format
INDIVIDUAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT
- Athletes work with coaches to refine position-specific skillsets and take direct, immediate feedback from staff
UNSETTLED SITUATIONS
- Our athletes will work on applying the skills they learned in the morning session to begin capitalizing on a specific, collective game strategy and realistic live scenarios.
UNDERSTANDING TEAM CONCEPTS
- Camp staff will review specific concepts related to the overall understanding of team dynamics, situational awareness, and high-level lacrosse IQ
GAMEPLAY AND LIVE SETTINGS
- Athletes will take their collective foundations from the camp into game-like settings and work as teams to reinforce learned habits
PLAYER OF THE DAY & GIVEAWAYS
- The camp staff will honor specific players that have demonstrated superior understanding and application of new skillsets – as well as the collective giveaway of prizes and gear.
CAMP END
- Athletes break for the conclusion of the day/event
