True Lacrosse | North Carolina

True Lacrosse is expanding its programming in North Carolina with the True Charlotte Girls program.

Launching this summer, True Charlotte will host inaugural tryouts for girls in the area who are interested in gaining access to True’s extensive network offering full-time administrative support, high level local teams, national training opportunities, professional coaching, and the most reputable recruiting guidance in club lacrosse.

Leading the new True Charlotte Girls will be Emma Evanko. Formerly the director of True Indiana Girls, Evanko comes to Charlotte with comprehensive, first-hand experience leading a True Lacrosse program. As founder and director of the True Indiana girls program, Evanko focused on growing and developing girls lacrosse in Indianapolis and its surrounding area. She also founded The Athlete’s Mental Playbook, LLC, which offers journals specifically for competitive athletes as a private and convenient way to relieve stress and anxiety related to performing on the field.

Before she founded True Indiana, Evanko served on the coaching staff for Anderson University’s women’s lacrosse team (NCAA Division II). Evanko graduated from Butler University, where she was a midfielder and draw specialist for the women’s Division I lacrosse program.

With a passion for athlete development, leadership, and mindset training, Evanko brings coaching and leadership experience along with a sincere investment in empowering girls on and off the field.

All players interested in joining the new True Charlotte Girls program are invited to attend tryouts on June 17th. Keep reading for more information.
