True UT Force Girls Director

Matthew Kenning

Matt Kenning is the current state director for the True UT Force Girls Lacrosse program.  He has been in this role since Jan of 2024.  Before that, Matt was the founder/owner/director of Force Lacrosse from 2016 to 2024.  Matt has been coaching girls’ lacrosse since his 2nd of 4 daughters started playing 15 years ago.  He has coached for Jordan, the West Lake/Skyridge/Lehi combined team, and Corner Canyon youth and HS programs.  He is currently the Corner Canyon Varsity head coach and has been since the summer of 2019.  He is also currently serving as the President of the UT Girls HS Lacrosse Head Coaches Association and is the Girls US Lacrosse area chair for Utah.  In 2023 and 2024, Matt was one of the UT State U17 Girls National team coaches and coached for the New Balance All-American Highlight team during those years.   

Matt has a wife, Andrea, of 34 years, 4 Daughters, 1 Son-in-law, and 2 granddaughters.  Matt is also a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer for Veterans First/Wintrust Mortgage, where he has worked since Sept of 2001 and earned Presidents Club/Presidents Circle honors as a top producer more than 20 times.  Matt has a bachelor’s degree in business administration management and an MBA.  

Matt considers himself to be a student of the game, constantly learning from his own team, teams he plays, teams he watches, and from other coaches from all over the state and the country.  Matt believes in creating a positive and challenging environment in which girls can grow and improve as players and people.
