A Chicago Native, Kevin grew up in a non-traditional lacrosse community and did most of his training on his own before competition at Loyola Academy High School. He was a part of 3 state Championship teams including the newsworthy, 4 overtime win in 2004 against Libertyville high school to solidify the 3 peat. Kevin continued his lacrosse career as a starter at Butler University when they had an NCAA Division 1 program, and then transferring to Stonybrook University on Long Island. After one competitive season on Long Island, Kevin opted to transfer DIII powerhouse, Salisbury University, MD, to play under Hall of Fame Coach, Jim Berkman. Two seasons under Coach Berkman kickstarted Finn’s coaching career after his graduation.
During a brief stint on the LXM Pro Tour as a player, Kevin served as the head varsity coach for O’Fallon Township High School in IL and then at Clayton High School in Saint Louis, all while running the True Travel Program and a youth community program called the Hounds. Finn put away the varsity whistle to impact more youth players in the Chicagoland area assisting in various communities including Fox Valley, Evanston and Lake Forest. His commitment to quality training is second to none and now interacts with Illinois state and regional players when not traveling for National events and tournaments.
